We have news! Katy is on her way back to Rome—for the first time in over four years! She’s traveling to Rome partly for vacation, and partly to get out on the streets with Tiffany and make some episodes in the wild!
This exciting development sparks a conversation about returning to places we know well or where we once lived after a long absence.
Some places have changed so much since we’ve been there, that we are loath to have our version of that city be changed by modern developments. On the other hand, some places, particularly ancient ones like Rome, change so little that, when we go back, it almost feels like we never left at all. And other places make up a part of our memory that stretches so far back, that even if the place hasn’t changed, our perception of it certainly has.
On this episode, we discuss the reality of returning to places from our past, in advance of Katy’s return trip to Rome.
